DEER, ELK MANAGEMENT MEETING SCHEDULED
Colorado Division of Wildlife big game managers will discuss deer and elk management in Game Management Unit 60 at a meeting in Paradox, 6 p.m., Aug. 23 at the Community Center, 21665 6.00 Road.
DOW officials will discuss the state of the herds, harvest and winter population count data and management planning. Officials will also discuss chronic wasting disease, which has been found in deer and elk in nearby areas of Utah. No chronic wasting disease has been detected in GMU 60 in Colorado.
The meeting will also be open to comments and questions from the public.
